Description

The SM-DVN-84X is a dedicated multi-platform KVM Switch capable of managing up to 8 different computers through four monitors, USB keyboard and mouse, a set of speakers, and USB devices like printers, memory devices, scanners, etc. With multi-user support, the SM-DVN-84X can accomodate up to 4 users. The video connectors on the unit are DVI-D, which allows support for HDMI using active adapters or cables. When using a DVI or an HDMI monitor, computers can be a mix of either DVI or HDMI.

The SM-DVN-84X supports resolutions of up to 2560x1600 @60Hz with zero pixel loss from TMDS signal correction.

APPLICATION DIAGRAM

The main function of this KVM Switch is to centralize the access of several computer into a single, comprehensive KVM Station. Its USB 2.0 functionality support allows users at the console to access USB devices that would otherwise be unavailable on conventional KVM Switches. For example, it allows the use of a flash memory drive or camera without having to plug it directly into the remote computer. The SM-DVN-84X is a perfect solution for the medical or industrial field where it may not be practical or safe to have on or more CPUs in the general vicinity.

FLEXIBLE CONTROL

RS-232

Any external device or program supporting RS-232 can control the SM-DVN-84X. The SM-DVN-84X uses a very simple protocol, enabling easy integration with the RS-232 control devices.

USB/KEYBOARD

Hot keys enable the user to switch and control all the different functions of the KVM Switch

FLEXIBLE SHARING

INDEPENDENT SIMULTANEOUS DEVICE SELECTION

Flexibility is key with the SM-DVN-84X. It enables the use of a USB keyboard and mouse on one computer while other USB peripherals such as speakers, scanners and printers are connected to other computer sources.
