The Cisco® ME 3600X 24CX Switch is a member of the Cisco ME 3600X Series Ethernet Access Switches product series, a multiservice access platform optimized for Carrier Ethernet deployments. As Carrier Ethernet access networks converge, a versatile platform like the Cisco ME 3600X 24CX allows service providers to offer multiple services from the same access device. Built for the convergence of wireline and wireless services, the Cisco ME 3600X 24CX offers a combination of Gigabit Ethernet, 10-Gigabit Ethernet, time-division multiplexing (TDM), and timing services. Build upon an architecture that is similar to existing switches in the Cisco ME 3600X Series, the 24CX allows service providers to initiate Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) -based VPN services from within the access layer. Designed around crucial Carrier Ethernet features that simplify network operation, the Cisco ME 3600X 24CX supports premium services with enhanced service-level agreement (SLA) capabilities.
